I've been wanting to do some of the projects in Erica Domesek's book, P.S.- I Made This, so I used an old t-shirt to make her fringe scarf.
1. Cut horizontally across the shirt starting right under the armhole. (My shirt was a v-neck so I had to start cutting at the point right under the V.)
2. Cut vertical strips into to the shirt as long or short as you want them. The longer the cut, the longer the fringe will be.
3. Pull on each strand to elongate them like the four on the right.
And you're done!!!! My fringe wouldn't stay stretched :(...I'm going to try it again with a 100% cotton t-shirt.
Great minds! I made a fringe shirt that I will debut soon! Exciteeeeeed!
